Nova Economics is a niche economics and strategy consultancy based in South Africa with offices in Johannesburg and Stellenbosch. We combine our expertise in economics, strategy, and statistics to give our clients insight into some of the complex challenges facing business, government, and society.
The core team of consultants at Nova all hold advanced degrees in economics. We work closely with a trusted network of professional associates with backgrounds in engineering, law, and finance to bring our clients the right blend and level of expertise.

Nova Economics was founded in 2015 by Kay Walsh, an economist with over 15 years of experience advising clients on strategy, economic policy, and regulation. While her work spans several industries and geographies, her most significant experience has been energy sector and for clients operating in Southern Africa. Prior to, founding Nova, she led the economics advisory team at Deloitte Consulting in Johannesburg.

We have adopted a flexible consulting model which enables us to bring in associate consultants when we require additional capacity or specific skills or industry knowledge.
